Method
Cooking the Spaghetti
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and add the spaghetti. Cook according to the package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside, drizzling with a little olive oil to prevent sticking.
Preparing the Meat Sauce
- In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium heat. Swirl the pan until the oil shimmers.
- Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, and grated ginger to the skillet. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant and the onions become translucent.
- Increase the heat slightly and add the ground beef. Cook until browned—this should take about 5-7 minutes. Break it apart with your spatula as it cooks.
- Stir in the diced bell pepper and cook for another 3-5 minutes until softened and bright.
- Add in the soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir everything together to combine, and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until heated through and flavors meld.
Combining and Serving
- Toss the cooked spaghetti into the skillet with the meat sauce, ensuring every strand is coated.
- Plate the dish and garnish with chopped green onions for a fresh finish. Enjoy immediately!
Notes
