Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C).
- Pop the popcorn and place it in a large bowl, ensuring there are no unpopped kernels.
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, butter, corn syrup, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
- Boil for 4-5 minutes without stirring until it turns a lovely golden color.
- Remove from heat and stir in baking soda.
Combining
- Pour the caramel over the popcorn and mix well using a spatula.
- Add nuts if desired and mix again.
- Spread the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Baking
- Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
- Allow to cool before serving.
Notes
