  • 8 oz yakisoba noodles Found in the refrigerated section; can substitute with other Asian noodles.
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil Can also use sesame oil for added flavor.
Vegetables and Garnishing
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables A mix of bell peppers, carrots, and broccoli recommended.
  • 2 pieces green onions, sliced For garnishing.
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil For an extra nutty flavor.
  • salt and pepper to taste For seasoning.
  • sesame seeds for garnish Elevates the dish.
Sauces
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce Low-sodium preferred.
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce Optional; adds depth.

Method
 

Cooking Noodles
  1. Boil a pot of water and cook the yakisoba noodles according to package instructions, around 3-4 minutes. Drain and rinse with cold water.
Stir-Frying
  1. In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil on medium-high heat until it shimmers.
  2. Add the mixed vegetables and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  3. Incorporate the cooked noodles into the skillet along with the soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), and sesame oil, tossing together for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Garnishing
  1. Top with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

Keep ingredients moving while cooking to prevent sticking. Avoid overcrowding the skillet to ensure frying instead of steaming.
