Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and lightly spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and cook noodles according to package directions, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- In a large nonstick skillet, crumble the ground beef over medium-high heat. Brown it for about 5-7 minutes until no longer pink, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce heat to medium, and stir in the cream of mushroom soup, French onion dip, Worcestershire sauce, pepper, and half of the cheddar cheese. Stir until well combined and melted, about 3 minutes.
- Remove the skillet from heat and fold in the cooked egg noodles until well coated.
- Spoon the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top, followed by the crispy French fried onions.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown. If the top is browning too quickly, cover lightly with aluminum foil.
Notes
For an optimal taste, ensure egg noodles are cooked al dente. Room temperature butter is ideal for greasing the baking dish.
