Ingredients

Noodles
  • 8 oz Your favorite noodles, egg noodles or spaghetti work best Use rice noodles for a gluten-free option.
Sauce Components
  • 4 cloves Freshly minced garlic The fresher the garlic, the better.
  • 3 tbsp Unsalted butter Let it reach room temperature for easier melting.
  • ¼ cup Soy sauce Low-sodium varieties work beautifully.
  • ½ cup Freshly grated Parmesan cheese Grate it fresh for the best taste.

Method

Preparation
  1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook your noodles according to package instructions (usually 8-10 minutes for spaghetti), then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt 3 tablespoons of butter over medium heat until bubbling but not browned.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, ensuring it does not burn.
  4. Stir in ¼ cup soy sauce and the drained noodles. Toss everything together until the noodles are well-coated, which should take about 1-2 minutes.
  5. Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle with ½ cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Mix well until creamy.
  6. Plate the Asian Garlic Noodles hot, and garnish with some extra cheese if desired.

Notes

Toss in a splash of sesame oil for an even deeper flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days, reheating on low with a bit of extra butter.
