Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup rolled oats Look for high-quality oats for the best texture. Gluten-free oats are also available if needed.
  • 1 cup unsweetened applesauce Organic applesauce is recommended for a richer flavor.
  • 1 cup almond milk Unsweetened almond milk works best; feel free to substitute with any milk of your choice.
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds Boosts nutrition and helps achieve a creamy texture.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon Adds a warm spice complementing the applesauce.
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup Add sweetness according to taste; can be skipped for a healthier option.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine rolled oats, unsweetened applesauce, almond milk, chia seeds, and cinnamon. Add honey or maple syrup if desired.
  2. Mix everything thoroughly until it’s evenly combined—it should have a thick but pourable consistency.
  3. Transfer the mixture into a sealable container or cover the bowl. Refrigerate overnight for about 8 hours to let the oats absorb the liquids.
  4. In the morning, stir the oats. Enjoy them straight from the fridge or warm them in the microwave for about 30 seconds.
  5. Top with your favorite toppings, such as sliced bananas, nuts, or granola before serving.

Notes

These overnight oats can be stored in the fridge for up to 5 days. Consider making several servings in individual jars for quick breakfasts.
